I went to the lab in this morning. I had originally planned to go in the afternoon, but then I realized that today was the third Wednesday of the month. It is meeting day. In other words, if I do not go to my supervisor's lab in the morning, I will not be able to consult with him today. That is why I went there in the morning, which was unusual for me. 

I created slides for my next talk. I have made improvements based on our reflections from the last time, so it is almost complete. 

Also, I finished work early and went to LOFT to look at some eyeshadows that I had been interested in. I bought a limited edition eyeshadow and two Rollbahn notebooks. 

When I got home, I set up the editor that my friend recommended. It is very reassuring to know that there are people who can help me if I get in trouble. The setup has been completed successfully, so I would like to use it in the future. 

I have been unsure of how to respond to a question sent to me by email and have not been able to reply yet, so I will aim to reply to it tomorrow.

I did not go to the lab today, I worked at home. I received a thank you email from someone to whom I gave my business card yesterday, and it took me quite a while to reply to the email. I thought I was getting used to writing emails, but it still takes me a long time to write them. That is because I think a lot when I write. 

Also, I was thinking about the slides for my next talk using the source code that my friend sent me yesterday. 

By the way, it has been a month yesterday since I started keeping a diary here. I have kept a diary by hand a few times before, but I have only ever been able to keep it up for about three weeks. This time, I was burdened with the heavy burden of writing in English, so I was worried about whether I could continue. However, I was able to continue for a month thanks to the ease of being able to write on my smartphone anytime, anywhere. 

I hope I can continue this way for two months, three months, a year...

Today's diary was a long one after a long time.

Jan. 13, 2025 (Mon.)

I continued to participate in the research meeting this morning. Today I gave a lecture. This time, people seemed to be more interested than usual and the response was good. I was glad to hear that they were interested in my research when they asked me so many questions. 

After the meeting, I walked with my friend halfway and then disbanded to our own afternoon plans. 

I went to the bookstore because a professor recommended books related to my research. It is a different book from the one you recommended, but I found a good one so I am planning to buy it with my research funds. 

After that, I went to see a special exhibition being held in a building right next to the station. It was very good. 

Tomorrow, I plan to organize the information I have gained over the past three days and do some research.

I attended the research meeting again today. There were many new adults around the university because of the Coming of Age Ceremony. I also attended a banquet of this meeting in the evening. 

Afterwards, I received a lot of advice from my friend about the slides for tomorrow's presentation. Recently, I have been giving more advice to my juniors, but I hardly ever receive any comments, so I was very grateful.

I attended a research meeting in the afternoon. This conference is a little far from my research field, so I did not understand much of the lectures. There are so many things I need to study and want to do. 

After that, I had dinner and talked with my friend who is also attending the same meeting. It was fun and nice to talk about various things. I had a good time.

I was busy with various things today and ended up leaving the house in the afternoon. After doing some work in the lab, I attended a seminar for fourth-year undergraduate students. I gave some advice on slide creation. I had so many opportunities to give talks last year, so I feel like I have more to share than before. I have been trying various things on my own, but I do not know if they are the right answer. I would like some advice on my slides. 

During my part-time job, the students were interested in science research, so I talked a little about my research. It seems that applied subjects are more likely to generate interest than theoretical subjects. I would be happy if it could motivate you to study for exams even a little. 

I will participate in the research meeting from tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing my friend.

I also went to the lab today, but it started at noon for the second day in a row. I want to get into a good rhythm of activities soon. 

I tried to work on it and move forward, but it still did not work. I feel myself getting impatient and stress building up. It is hard huhuhu. Even if I complain, I have no choice but to do it, so I will do my best little by little.

I finally went to the lab for the first time in the new year. The work has not progressed at all, so it is more like I just went there. I know I have to write it, and I have no choice but to write it, but writing the application form is hard. 

It was very cold today. Snow is forecast for the night, but it probably will not snow.

The weather was not so good this morning, and it was already noon while I was lazing around at home. Considering my schedule after that, I decided not to go to the lab because I could not stay there for long. I will go to the lab tomorrow. 

After work, I was able to catch the train that I usually cannot make, so I was glad I could come home a little early.

I was planning to go to the lab, but it was raining so I decided to work at home. I cannot say that the work has progressed. I want to go to the lab tomorrow and get the work done. I need to write a proper application form.
